| About Us |
The club is located in Mobile, AL and membership is limited to 30 members plus
spouses. Club cars consist of street rods and classics. We have great
members who work and play hard during the year.
The mission statement is to promote interest and enjoyment in street rod and
classic car activities locally and in the surrounding area.
Our Club motto is “Cruisin’ for a Cause”. Our desire is to combine our love for
cars with our desire to help others who are less fortunate.
We have a cruise-in the third Saturday of each month from February to October
averaging 100 cars participating, not including club cars. Each month a “Car of
the Month” is selected. At our annual show, a car from this group is selected by
Steak N Shake, of our major sponsors as the Car of the Year.
Many spectators attend our cruise-ins and participate in the games and 50/50
drawing. Our guests love having them admire and comment on their cars.
The annual car show is hosted in October where approximately 65% of our
money for the year is generated. Approximately 62 sponsors donate money and
merchandise to support the show each year.
Other sources of income are 50/50 ticket sales, raffle items, and donations from
our generous major sponsors, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Steak n Shake on
Schillinger Road and other caring companies and persons.
Members also donate their time to support other charitable events and to our
club members who have a need for an extra hand with building a car, a project or
just a sympathetic ear.
We try to schedule at least one event per month for club members to enjoy their
cars together, socialize and it almost always includes food. There is also an
annual Christmas party and outings with other car clubs.
